The Royal Government of Cambodia released a sub-decree on public holiday calendar 2020, reducing the number of days off from 26 to 22 in order to increase productivity, improve international competitiveness and boost growth through investments in the Kingdom.

In a sub-decree signed by the head of the government, Prime Minister Hun Sen, on August 2, 2019, the government has decided to resume business hours on Meak Bochea Day, National Day of Remembrance, International Children’s day, anniversary of Paris Peace Accords and Human Rights Day. However, one additional day off will be added to next year’s Khmer New Year.
