UBB and MCU Organize Training Courses Supported by the Erasmus+ TACTIC Project

On June 25, 2018: University of Battambang (UBB) and Mean Chey University (MCU) has organized a professional workshop on “Project Management (PRINCE2), Financial and Human Resource Management, and Administrative Management and Student Enrolment” under the Erasmus+ TACTIC Capacity Building Project at the University of Battambang, Cambodia. There were 39 participants from three main universities including UBB, MCU, and CSUK (Chea Sim University of Kamchaymear). H.E. Sieng Emtotim, Rector of the University of Battambang, has presided over the opening and closing of the training, and awarded certificates to the speakers and participants.

The training has main purposes to share knowledge and experiences gained from European university partners- Czech, Estonia, and France- to administrative and academic staffs in UBB and MCU. The project has provided six training courses in Cambodia, two training courses in Belgium, and one internship program in three European partner countries. Participants who attended training and internship in Cambodia and Europe have to provide training to other staff in Cambodian universities.

The Project of the Through Academic Cooperation Towards Innovative Capacity (TACTIC) aimed at developing the capacities of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Cambodia, Mongolia, and Vietnam to modernize the universities’ management, and improve the services and procedures in line with the advanced EU standards. It has a three-year program starting from 2015 to 2018; there are six Asian university partners including University of Battambang, Mean Chey University, National University of Mongolia, University of Humanities, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, and the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology in this crucial project.
